CONSULT & SPEAKING

A blue sign attached to a wooden fence that reads 'truth goodness and beauty still exist' in a rural outdoor setting with trees and a cloudy sky in the background.

I speak to or consult for psychotherapists, psychiatrists, clinical supervisors, training programs, and community organizations to discuss topics in cultures, identities, and perspectives that are underrepresented in research, training, and everyday conversations.

I also provide clinical supervision for therapists-in-training. I specialize in supporting the clinical and professional development of international or multilingual therapists.

Yun Garrison, a Korean-speaking therapist, provides bilingual (Korean and English) psychological services and consultation.

Community-Engaged Scholar

I'm passionate about dialoguing about community-engaged research methods and teaching strategies. I also enjoy discussing ways to bring liberation and decolonial perspectives into psychotherapy. I’m especially excited to highlight the wisdom and knowledge of historically marginalized communities, including Korean, Somali, and immigrant and refugee communities. I’m also interested in exploring the myth of meritocracy, which is one of my long-term research focuses and something I enjoy discussing.
